My second double knit pot holder. Â Design created myself. Â Used sugar and cream cotton yarns.
I liked the bottom solid edge created by using the one color yarn cast on method ( cast-on wrapped around 2 needles) and then in the first row, add the other color by knitting and purling into each stitch. Â Since the double knit cast-off methods I found, left a ‘purl bar’ on one side, I knit-purl all the stitches with one color ( navy) and the cast off, by k2tog and casting off. Â This created a nice solid frame at the top too.
